Welcome to The Coffi House, a family owned and family run business established in 1992 as a traditional Coffee Shop, Restaurant and Takeaway. It operates from a double fronted Victorian property which retains many of its original features such as the curved glass display windows. There is seating internally for 52 with additional seating for 16 in the pretty enclosed rear courtyard ,weather permitting.
The property is located in a prime trading position in one of the most sought after shopping suburbs of Cardiff, the Capital City of Wales. The area is well known for its high quality privately owned retail outlets providing a very busy and vibrant environment.
The City centre which is only a 15 minute walk away is fast becoming one of the UK’s most popular visitor destinations with all its leisure, cultural and sporting facilities, not to mention its famous Castle. Similarly, a 15 minute stroll in the opposite direction takes you to Roath Park Lake, a most lovely place to be when the sun is shining.
The Coffi House opens 7 days a week between the hours of 8am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday. It provides a fairly comprehensive but nonetheless simple menu with the benefit of a full Alcohol on licence. There is also a daily specials board to choose from.
Pies such as Chicken and Ham, Fish and Corned Beef are home made and freshly cooked daily on the premises, as are the Quiches (varies per day eg. leek and pepper, leek, tomato and onion, salmon). Lasagne, Cauliflower Cheese and Jacket Potatoes are also freshly cooked daily.
Soups are also home made daily from freshly purchased ingredients such as Sweet Potato and Red Pepper, Tomato and Basil, Potato and Leek, Cream of Mushroom or Vegetable. We make our own Coleslaw, and our own fillings such as Chicken Mayonnaise, Tuna Mayonnaise and Egg Mayonnaise.
Cakes such as Carrot, Hummingbird, Chocolate, Chocolate Orange , Victoria sponge and Lemon are homemade and baked on the premises.
We use only the best quality ingredients to make all our food and the best quality coffee beans to make our cofee. Our Menu is both sensibly and competitively priced and we always endeavour to provide a friendly and welcoming experience for all our customers whether they be regular or new.
